What Can I Do to Enjoy the Last of Summer in Vermont?
Vermont Summer Bucket List
We can’t believe that summer is almost gone! There are only a few more weeks of beautiful weather to enjoy before the air becomes bitingly cold. So what can you do to make the most of the remaining summer? By checking off these items off our Vermont summer bucket list of course!
Lake Champlain is one of the best summer destinations that Vermont has to offer, thanks to its picturesque beauty and refreshing water! There are several towns and villages near the shores of this large lake that offer unique shops and restaurants. We also recommend that you check out the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum that is located in Ferrisburgh (www.lcmm.org) so you can learn about the history, geology, legends, and shipwrecks of the lake!
Spider Web Farms
While most of us cringe and scream whenever we see a spider, their webs can be quite beautiful. Vermont artist Will Knight harvests spider webs and attaches them to wood pieces, which then can be statement pieces in your home! Information about the farm and booking a tour can be found on the “Original Web Site” (We always love a good pun!).
Montshire Museum of Science
Located in Norwich, the Montshire Museum of Science provides a hands-on learning experience to visitors of all ages! Explore technology, ecology, and physical sciences and check out cool experiments pertaining to these areas of science! There is also an outdoor area where patrons can learn even more about the natural world! More information may be found on the museum’s website.
