The 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan is designed to provide impressive versatility. All of this starts with engine powering the crossover. The 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan engine performance and fuel economy ratings make this an attractive choice for car shoppers considering a new crossover.

Tiguan Turbocharged Engine

One power source will be offered on the 2018 Tiguan. Under the hood of the crossover will be a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This engine is the latest version of Volkswagen’s EA888 four-cylinder. Performance numbers on the engine check in at 184 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque.

Fuel economy numbers on the engine are rated at an estimated 22 miles per gallon in the city and 27 miles per gallon on the highways. When equipped with Volkswagen’s 4Motion all-wheel drive system, these numbers are estimated at 21 miles per gallon in the city and 27 miles per gallon on the highways.

Models and Trim Levels

2018 Tiguan models will be offered in multiple trim levels with a variety of comfort, safety and technology features. The four trim levels are: S, SE, SEL and SEL Premium. Highlights from the list of features offered on the car include:
