2016 Volkswagen Sedan Size Differences

Sedans are one of the most popular vehicles on the road. And with a Volkswagen model, you can expect top performance and sleek styling. There are a few sedans in the Volkswagen lineup, so how do you determine which one is for you? Read on to learn about the 2016 Volkswagen sedan size differences!

The Compact Jetta

The 2016 Jetta is a favorite among Volkswagen drivers, and with good reason! Despite the compact label, the 2016 Jetta is approximately 182 inches long. Under the hood will either be a 150 horsepower 1.4L Turbo or 170 horsepower 1.8L Turbo engine. Drivers who choose the 1.4L engine can expect an estimated fuel economy of 28 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway.

The Midsize Passat

For a little more comfort, there is the 2016 Volkswagen Passat, which measures about 191 inches. This means more elbow room for passengers and helps relieve backseat bickering during long road trips. Most trims contain a 170 horsepower 1.8L Turbo engine with an estimated 25 mpg-city/38 mpg-highway fuel economy. For more power, there is a 3.6L V6 engine available that can deliver 280 ponies.

The Sporty CC

The other sedan in the Volkswagen lineup is the 2016 CC. This model is actually about 2 inches shorter than the Passat, but it is the sportiest in the group. Drivers will enjoy an exciting ride with the help of either a 200 horsepower 2.0L Turbo or 280 horsepower 3.6L V6 engine. Models outfitted with the 2.0L Turbo engine are expected to reach a fuel economy of about 21 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway.
